For those of you who live in a cave dwelling or have just arrived back from the moon, on earth exists a pop artist who has seemed to taken over our culture on a global scale. Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (born March 28, 1986), better known by her stage name Lady Gaga, is an American pop singer. Her contributions to the music industry have garnered her numerous achievements including two Grammy Awards, amongst twelve nominations; two Guinness World Records, and the estimated sale of fifteen million albums and fifty-one million singles worldwide. Billboard named her as the Artist of the Year in 2010 and ranked her as the 73rd Artist of the 2000s decade. Gaga has been included in Time magazine’s annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world as well as Forbes’ list of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential celebrities in the world. Forbes also placed her at number seven on their annual list of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women. But most notably, Lady Gaga is famed for her fashion antics and creative wardrobes, always pushing the envelope of couture.

It’s fair to assume that Lady Gaga knows a few things about lingerie as she often has it on show in her music videos such as “Love game” and “Bad romance”. She not only wears pieces from the phenomenal Alexander McQueen, but she also rocks out in the “Love” demi bra and brief from Agent Provocateur. This yummy lace confection that might not turn you into Gaga exactly, but will certainly up your sex appeal.

Though music lovers might have mixed feelings about the song “Bad Romance”, critics agree that the video is just amazing. It’s pure advertising for the lingerie company being featured in the “Bad Romance” video. Agent Provocateur’s lingerie is also a character, not just part of the costume for the pop star. Gaga is seen in Agent Provocateur undies in the video (actually she spends a lot of the video in her bra and panties – including a cone bra that shoots sparks!), but why the hell not!
The main idea behind the video is that of Gaga getting kidnapped by a group of supermodels who drug her, and then sell her off to the Russian Mafia for 1 000 000 Russian rubles. The video ends with her lying beside a smoldering skeleton, on top of the destroyed bed covered in ashes. With soot smeared across her body, she calmly smokes a cigarette, while her pyrotechnic bra activates.
Having your product tied to a name such as Lady Gaga is pure genius. Other companies and labels can only dream of being the #1 viral video on YouTube, which ironically, Agent Provocateur did without even trying. The news that the commercial starring Lady Gaga was banned in the U.K. only fueled everyone’s curiosity. Hence, in a way, the ban on the commercial helped in the video becoming viral. It seems like everything Lady Gaga touches turns to gold.
You’re getting better and better as a writer. Good job!
